No Escape

Had an eventfull morning today. Riley has learned to lock the doors in the bathrooms by herself. Natllely and I were having breakfast downstairs, girls were playing upstairs. We hear a little more crying then usual so we go to check it out and... Riley had locked the bathroom door and shut poor Eva alone inside. It was pretty sad to hear her crying and her little hands poking out from under the door. We were looking all over the house for something to push into the little pin hole release thing. But even when we found something it didn't seem to work. Natllely squeezed a binki through the crack but that didn't work long. Finally we got the door open to find our little traumatized kid.

No More Motorcycles, Suka!

Ok, so i thought i was being the best wife in the world letting my husband have a motorcycle. He drove it every day to work from Lake Elsinore to Corona, about a 30 minute drive. He always insisted that his driving skills were above par and that he was very cautious while driving. I pushed aside my gut feeling that maybe the $20 we save for gas a week wasnt really worth posibly getting in an accident. Sigh- I should have listened! I totally knew something was wrong when James hadnt signed in to his Instant message at work by 9:15, not that i was checking in on him. I was tryin to let him know that i had just sold our piano :( and he wasnt at work yet. I tried his phone, no answer. Called work, "he's not in yet". What!! I was about to go trace his tracks with my mother in law in hope that we might find his body somewhere, alive! of course the worst scenarios run through my mind, and if you really know me, you know i have a very active imagination. All the posible outcomes were frieghtening. Then he called. I was just beyond emotional: happy that he's alright and p'd o that he convinced me he would be ok on a motorcyle...

So here's what happened. He was driving to work on the fast lane goin 70 ish, when the cars in front of him start slamming on the breaks, cars are crashing and theres smoke. He tried to slow down but before he knows it he's on the floor of the fast lane, tumbling, thinking "this is it." Tear :( His bike crashes into a car in front of him. The truck behind him haults to a stop barely missing my poor husband. He's in shock, but he's alive...and with only a few bumps and scratches...well he broke his hand, twisted his ankle, pretty sure he did some damage to his right shoulder and scrapped his tummy...But did i mention He's Alive! Talk about lucky, or shall we say rediculously blessed. At least thats how i feel about it. It was the biggest blessing ever and im forever grateful. So, needless to say, the bike is gone..we sold it. some how it was intact enough to sell. His motorcycle riding privledges have been revoked!

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas!!!! This year we had two new babies celebrating their first Christmas, Eva and Ella, sure to be best buds :) Riley got more toys than she can ever handle and I got the Twilight Series, can you tell, I'm pretty excited about it.

Reeds

Met up with our friends the Reeds during their trip down here to Disneyland! Riley had a great time with her little friend Aurora for the short time they were together. They were wrestling buds.

Oak Glen

We met up with our friends the Kinnersley's at the Oak Glen apple orchards in November. Way fun. James busted his cell phone on the rocks but all in all good times. Riley reluctantly fed some animals and we grubbed on some home cookin' and apple pie of course. I tried my mad robinhood skills too.

Long Beach with the Greens

We took a few trips to Long Beach to visit Aunt Laura and Uncle Shad. The first time was for Ashley's birthday in November 2009. (I know we're way behind on posts!) We all took a walk down the beautiful harbor. The second time was just with Marty in January this year. We went to the Aquarium. Riley was more interested in the pictures of the fish than the acutal fish... go figure. We had dinner at a little French cafe. Little nervous about going at first but way glad we did! I loved it and can't wait to go back.
