No More Motorcycles, Suka!

Ok, so i thought i was being the best wife in the world letting my husband have a motorcycle. He drove it every day to work from Lake Elsinore to Corona, about a 30 minute drive. He always insisted that his driving skills were above par and that he was very cautious while driving. I pushed aside my gut feeling that maybe the $20 we save for gas a week wasnt really worth posibly getting in an accident. Sigh- I should have listened! I totally knew something was wrong when James hadnt signed in to his Instant message at work by 9:15, not that i was checking in on him. I was tryin to let him know that i had just sold our piano :( and he wasnt at work yet. I tried his phone, no answer. Called work, "he's not in yet". What!! I was about to go trace his tracks with my mother in law in hope that we might find his body somewhere, alive! of course the worst scenarios run through my mind, and if you really know me, you know i have a very active imagination. All the posible outcomes were frieghtening. Then he called. I was just beyond emotional: happy that he's alright and p'd o that he convinced me he would be ok on a motorcyle...

So here's what happened. He was driving to work on the fast lane goin 70 ish, when the cars in front of him start slamming on the breaks, cars are crashing and theres smoke. He tried to slow down but before he knows it he's on the floor of the fast lane, tumbling, thinking "this is it." Tear :( His bike crashes into a car in front of him. The truck behind him haults to a stop barely missing my poor husband. He's in shock, but he's alive...and with only a few bumps and scratches...well he broke his hand, twisted his ankle, pretty sure he did some damage to his right shoulder and scrapped his tummy...But did i mention He's Alive! Talk about lucky, or shall we say rediculously blessed. At least thats how i feel about it. It was the biggest blessing ever and im forever grateful. So, needless to say, the bike is gone..we sold it. some how it was intact enough to sell. His motorcycle riding privledges have been revoked!

Oh my gosh!! That is so scary!! I'm so glad that James is ok....what a blessing!! I am with you Natlelly....Jeremiah had a motorcycle for like 5 days and I made him sell it cuz I was too freaked out....he, like James, said he was a great driver!! But you never know about all the other crazy drivers out there!!

What? My skills are way better than James's. He's accident prone. I can think of at least a few instances where me James and Wes were doing stupid stuff and he is the only one that got hurt. James, It looks like the only way you getting on to wheels is a bike. Or is that off limits to?

Hi guys! I found your blog from Alisons! So, I've had this exact situation TWICE! Once on a street bike, and it was gone as soon as it was fixed, and one on a dirt bike--somehow that didn't get sold! So glad all is well!
