Wild Animal Park

We had a fun time last week with Grandpa Green at the Wild Animal Park. It was Rileys first time to the zoo and she loved it. First of all, if you know Riley, you know she loves to dance. Everytime she would hear the african music she would stop what she was doing and start dancing. It took a while for us to get to our destinations because she just had to stop and dance. She was fascinated with the birds at the bird show. She saw eagles , falcons, condors, and all sorts of others. We even saw them feed which was kind of gross since they eat mice. Riley went into the petting zoo and got to see some deer hanging out. We went on the Journey into Africa tour ride and got to see so many amazing animals. It was a blast. I definately recommend it . It was a great day, the weather was beautiful, the animals were sweet, and Riley behaved. A success, if I do say so myself.

Round Two

For those of you who dont know, our little family of three will soon be a family of four. Yes, indeed, we are pregnant. AHHHHHHHHHHH! Can you believe it. its crazy, I know, but we figure we might as well have another. Rileys soo darn cute, we cant wait to see what the next one is like. We're due May 31st next year, so i'm currently 13 weeks pregos. Its been a rollercoaster ride. I've been hugging the toilet the past couple months and finding myself ridiculously emotional (I cry for the lamest things). Its all just part of the process, but we are very excited.

Halloween 08

This was Rileys first Halloween dressing up. she was a beautiful little pink fairy. We curled her hair and put red sparkles on her cheeks ( which she managed to smudge off just 10 minutes later). We took her out to visit the grandmas and take some pictures, but by the time we were ready to do some trick or treating, she was pretty beat. Oh well, maybe next year .

Mexico Bike Ride

Couple weekends ago, headed down to Mexico with sister, bro-in-law, mom, aunts etc. to tackle the 50 mile 'fun' bike ride from Rosarito to Ensenada. It was loads of fun despite how out of shape I am. Left the wife and kid home this time but they'll be sure to catch the next one. We had some hicups at the start of the race (see stewarts blog for details) but everyone had fun, ate some tacos, bought some cheap souveneirs and headed home. Here's a picture some random photographer took at the top of one of the killer hills.

Family Pictures

Our good friend, Adam, was nice enough to take some pictures of us this past August. We did the best with could with our very energetic toddler. She wanted to run around and play in the grass. It was a great time, and we're very grateful to Adam for doing this for us. :)

Riley's First Year

Happy Birthday Riley!

Can you believe it?! Our little girl has turned one year old. It has gone by sooo fast. We had a little birthday party for her with some friends and family. It was a blast! We watched a video of her first year, broke a pinata, and ate some cake. Riley got so many presents and she loves them all. when it came to cake time, Riley proved to be quite the little lady. She just very gently dipped her finger into the frosting and licked it. We were expecting her to tear into it but she never really did. She's very dainty.
We are just so grateful for everyone who came to help us celebrate. It really means a lot to have the support of our friends and family. You guys are great!!!! We love you all! :)

Happy Birthday Natllely!

My birthday passed this past July. I turned 28 years old. We celebrated with a few friends, the Kinnersleys and the Rendfelts. We had dinner, hung out and then watched some fireworks. James surprised me with whole assortment of gifts. I got 2 decorative flower plants, 1 decorative green plant, a pair of shoes, perfume, a decorative wall candle holder, and the new cold play cd! :) I love my Husband, he totally spoils me.

Storm Baseball

This summer we've gone a couple times to the local baseball stadium to watch the Lake Elsinore Storm. Its a really great stadium with great seats pretty much anywhere, best of all, their cheap! We had lots of fun chearing our team on. Poor guys, they lost both times :( but we still enjoyed it.

Lake Havasu 2008.

Our annual trip to Lake Havasu. This year was Rileys first time. We bought her a little floating crab to swim in and a cute little body life vest. It was super hot ( 118 degrees), but we managed to stay cool.
Riley swimming with Grandma Jensen.
Playing with cousine Ezra.

Disneyland!

We took Riley to Disneyland for the first time in June. Uncle Brandon and Aunt Chelsie meet us there. We had a fun time riding the Buzzlight year ride and taking pictures with The Little Mermaid and Goofy.

Riley 7-9 Months

These are some of the pictures of Riley that i have on my cell phone. She has grown so much, and is really getting around now. She has so much energy, and always wants to play. We love her to bits.

Catching Up.

March and April were pretty busy months: Cousin Alison got married in the San Diego Temple for time and all eternity, The Greens and The Stewarts took a trip up to Vegas to gamble their lives away (or not), and on the Mejia side, Cousin Gerrardo came back with honor from his mission in Virginia.
March 11 marked our two year anniversay, and we forgot about it! I spent it sitting in class, listening to a substitute lecture about why you should aways buy a house facing North West, and James watched Riley at Grandmas house. We celebrated the coming weekened at a nice little restuarant, baby free. It was great. I have to say i have the best husband in the whole wide world! He's amazing. James is such a hard worker. He does sooooo much for his little family, and we really appreciate him for it. He really is my best friend, and Im so happy we found eachother.

Happy Anniversay!

Fun with Great Grandma Green.

La Jolla Beach

Sorry its been a while since we've posted anything. Just an update on what we're up to: James has been really busy with all his many projects, working away. He just recently finished editing interviews for the Boys Scouts of America award ceremony, and we celebrated his 29th birthday. I've started school again; the last class I need (Geography 1 + Lab) before i get my AA. Its tough leaving riley for almost four hours, but she's handling it pretty well.

In late Feb. we dropped off Grandma and Grandpa Jensen at San Diego Airport, so we decided to drive around and see the sites. It was lots of fun. James and Riley at the cliff side.

It was such a beautiful day!

The Sea Lions were out sunbathing in the cove.

It was just another day with the Greens!

Rainy Days

Hi everybody, nothing too new to report for the Green family. Just enojoying the rain we've had the last week or so. Not often we get rain more than 2 days a year, so we'll take it. Nice to see all the brown turn to green at least for a little while. We're settling in at church. Natllely is the secretary in the Primary with all the kidos, and I'm over the 14-16 year old scouts on Wednesday nights. Riley is starting to talk a lot more gibberish, and on the verge of crawling. Hope everyone is having a good start to 2008.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone. We had a great holiday season. We spent some time up in Mammoth with Natllely's sister Fatima and her family. Early Christmas morning we drove all the way down to Grandma's for the rest of Christmas Day. We spent New Years Eve at the Kinnersley's with a few other couples. Busy holiday but a fun one!
