Youth Conference 2009

This year James and I volunteered to be youth conference parents. Being a convert to the church, i really didnt know what to expect; i'd never gone to youth conference before. My understanding was you have kids stay the night at your house, you feed them, share a spiritual message, and drop them off at their activity. simple enough. Little did i know you had to actually go to the activities with them and stay there all day, and that our little spriritual message was really a full devotional keeping us up till midnight! It was just more than i expected, but let me tell ya, it was a blast. We had 5 boys, all who got along great. they sang in the car (pokemon theme song, and the banana boat song (techno version) ..lol), jammed in our band room, and played halo 2 in they're down time. Not only that, while other kids were off being wall flowers and socializing, our kids were working hard to help out in the service project. I was one proud mama! It was soo sweet to see the youth of this church come together to serve others and share in the spirit. it was an amazing experience, and im glad we took part in it. We''ll definately do it again, i dont know when (considering we keep making babies), but for sure in the future.

Meet the boys:Agustin
Wesley
Seth
Anthony (A.K.A. Sparky 1)

Our missing child, Tyler in the middle, and the whole family.

Fun you guys! Thay asked us to do that once, but it was a no go with Seth's schedule! We'll have to do one of these days! I'll will be at your baby shower with Mitch in tow, looking forward to it! Seth is unfortunately working that day, sometimes his schedule really stinks! Oh well! :)
